Fifth grade art is a "hands on" studio course designed to keep students interested and excited about art. First semester the students use the work of Alexander Calder as inspiration in both a circus poster and a 3D circus  sculpture made of wood,wire and plaster. Second semester the students are introduced to slab contructed ceramic pots, linoleum printmaking, and "Op " art design.

We will practice keyboarding (without looking at the keyboard). We will work on this, word processing, and desktop publishing in class. Our content for projects will be sustainable seafood.

This course is a study of music based upon exploration, participation and experimentation. Students will be introduced to wide variety of composers, instruments and genres of music. Instrumental instruction will be offered in addition to the course.
