5th Grade Spanish

A 9-week course introducing the foundations of grammar for the Spanish language. Grammar concepts consist of regular and stem changing verbs, conjugation of verbs, recognition of noun gender, grammatical marks, and journal writing. A workbook is used in class and carries over to sixth grade Spanish. Role playing, writing, reading, and listening are skills that are focused on. Students also learn about the Hispanic culture. Homework is related to what was taught and/or discussed in class.

6th Grade Spanish

A 9-week course that refreshes material taught in 5th grade while continuing with grammar concepts.  New students feel comfortable in their learning journey due to repetition of past concepts.  A workbook and writing journal are used in class as well as handouts to strengthen the student's understanding of the lesson being taught.  Homework is related to what was taught and/or discussed in class. Role playing, writing, reading, and listening are skills that are focused on. Students also learn about the Hispanic culture.
