Welcome to the computer lab. This will be a busy nine weeks with our focus being on keyboarding, spreadsheets, internet safety, and computer history. We will be working feverishly to prepare for the coming months and years as technology users.

Journalism class covers reporting, page design, photography, and specialized writing. Students will develop interviewing skills, and learn how to gather, write, and report the news. We will also explore basic graphic design/desktop publishing and photography as tools for delivering information in a dynamic way. In addition, we will discuss how information is, or can be, filtered. Students will learn to interpret the news for bias and effectiveness. And, finally, students will strive to meet publication deadlines.

Advanced Music History and Theory students will explore the history of music, the development of music in Europe, England and the United States, various types and styles of music, music terminology, theory, and basic performance skills with assigned instruments.

 During the 9 week session I will not only continue the Theatre Arts education, but also direct concentration towards the building of skills for public speaking.
