English 8 is a balanced course consisting of writing, literature, grammar, and vocabulary.  It will include a major mythology unit and a documented research essay.

Spanish I is based on the development of four basic skills; listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with an emphasis on developing the ability to converse. Other aspects include cultural notes, dichos, preguntas, vocabulario, speed games, oral presentations, literature reading, pop music, K-Buddies, Language Day participation, a field trip, and a required reading book. 

Spanish Club: This begins in Spanish I and continues into High School. Members bring awareness to the Hispanic culture while participating in local community events. Spanish Club members are positive role models who appreciate the diversity within  the Hispanic culture.
